Nina Hammonds, who writes under the name of Ania KaShay-Shannon, is a native of Jacksonville, Florida. Her journey into the art of poetry writing began in 1997. After writing a poem for her mother, she realized her ability to touch and awaken readers with her poems. Ania, shares her unique gift for blending her love for music and poetry in ways that both encourage and invoke emotion in her readers; thereby creating her signature style. “Words Of The Heart” (2000) is her first, self published collection of poems. Her newest collection of poems is entitled “Imprints,” which will be available in September 2009.
