HRW members receive discounts on all of our Traveling Pen Writers' Workshops and at our annual writers' conference in September. Moreover, all HRW members receive a personal member page on which they may display their writer's bio and publication credits.
HRW member money is used only to pay professional writers for their workshop services
during the Traveling Pen Workshops and annual conference, to maintain the website, to publicize our writers' conference, to offer a few partial and complete scholarships to HRW events to people who otherwise can not afford to attend, and to cover the cost of office supplies and liability insurance. HRW is an all volunteer group of writers eager to give back some of their time, treasure, and talent in order to help other less experienced writers grow in their writing craft and ultimately attain publication success. Please consider joining HRW.

In an effort to grow and improve our organization, Hampton Roads Writers plans to share news of our endeavors and events. Publicity ventures will include, but are not limited to, internet postings, print publications, television, and radio, and will be comprised of photos, videos, and/or interviews related to HRW and news events. By signing below, you indicate your permission to be filmed, photographed, taped, (audio or video), and interviewed for the above-mentioned purpose. If you choose to decline such exposure at ant event, you may approach the photographer and ask to be directed out of camera’s range or decline an interview when asked.
