Hampton Roads Writers
Use the word, DISGUST, as inspiration for a fully plotted FLASH of 500 words or less. Leave out every superflous description and character movement that isn't vital to the plot. As unappealing as this may be to you poets and novelist, do it anyway since flash requires the tightest of tight writing. If you can't come up with an entire story of 500 words or less, create a less-completely-plotted vignette of at least 200 words.
Can this single word trigger something in your creative mind?
What is it that makes your protagonist filled with disgust?
Perhaps he or she now finds somebody previously loved to be terribly disgusting.
Or the protag sees something that fills him/her with disgust.
A lot of things are disgusting. We see plenty of them everyday. Murders. Rapes. Molestations. What is it that disgusts you? Perhaps you can transfer that feeling to a protagonist and make us feel the same way when we read your tale.
